About the event
Joseph Ellicott started surveying land in New York State for the Holland Land Company in 1798, greatly influencing the development of Buffalo and Western New York. For over twenty years, he mapped and organized three million acres of undeveloped frontier, transforming it into towns and communities. To help bring his story to life, local actor Dennis Upton has developed a one-man historical performance that he will bring to Wilson on October 15th. (Fun fact: Dennis is also a 1966 graduate of Wilson High School!) Please join us for this free presentation. Refreshments will be served.
